State Bill Colorado

''State Bill Colorado'' is an electronic legislative news service based in Denver. It was begun in 1989 and was originally known as ''Colorado Capitol Connection''. The non-partisan news service focuses on the Colorado General Assembly, the state's politicians, government agencies and elected leadership.
Today, ''State Bill'' is owned by privately held Circuit Media LLC, which also owns Law Week Colorado and Fresh Magazine. Its website is http://www.statebill.com.
==History==
Denver businessman Kenton Kuhn founded ''Colorado Capitol Connection'' in 1989.
The service was acquired in 2000 by Broomfield-based InsightAmerica, which renamed it StateBillInfo.com. InsightAmerica was subsequently sold to Acxiom Corp. of Little Rock, Ark. StateBillInfo.com was acquired in 2005 by Intellinet Interactive, a private Denver company, and in 2006 by Circuit Media LLC, which adopted the current name.
Through its ownership of ''State Bill'', Circuit Media has worked to expand coverage of Colorado's capitol by new-media organizations. It is a member of a nationwide industry trade group, National Online Legislative Associates.
In 2009, ''State Bill'' marked its 20th year of service.
On Aug. 31, 2009, ''State Bill'' began distributing its content to The Huffington Post through a wire-service arrangement.
